When I walked across the quad to check my mail, there were French students sprawled in various positions in the shade- looking bored, quietly making their "honh honh" sounds, trying to stave off heat stroke. They were here last year, too- I'd pass them on Emmanuel's airport runway of a sidewalk as it was getting dark. Where are they from? Who is showing them around the city? I'd like to know.
ETA: They're students from France, here to learn English (yeah, right). And currently they're being led in some kind of  forced merriment in the courtyard. How badly do I want to teach a French student to swear? So, so badly.
